Hi there,

I am thinking of coming up to try the red xc route out over the weekend. Just wondering what the trail conditions are after the recent snowfall and what is the distance and is it waymarked. ?

Regards,
SCNomad

Howdy.

We have a few sites under our wing. It will help if you can be more specific about about where you are planning to visit.

Cheers.

Hello,

Sorry... to more specific I am looking to head up to Wharncliffe Woods. I had seen the information on the Wharncliffe Collectors Website and was looking specifically at the red xc route that it says is open.

Could you also confirm whether the start of the trails are on Woodhead Road after turning right at the Norfolk Arms Public House.

Many Thanks,
SCNomad.

Moved to Wharncliffe section - Hopefully you will get an answer from one of the locals.

Chase.

I wouldn't bother with the XC stuff, everything's been pretty soggy round here since the snow melted and it's been raining all day today.

The DH stuff drains pretty well so I'd recommend going for a play on that. It's what I'll be doing tomorrow!
